Family!!!

Ah it is so good to hear from you! This week has been an absolutely crazy on of all kinds of up and downs, I am not going to lie that was probably the longest week in my life ha ha. The MTC is a weird place, because some hours of the day I have a lot of fun and some parts of the day I could not want to go home more. Besides that fact, I have been doing really good. The reason that you have not heard from me in a little bit is because the mission president told us that we should not write other than on P-Days, he said that it would really help with the language. I need all the help with the language that I can get, I was so stressed out the first few days. Oh and by the way my P days are going to be on Tuesday, but I am writing you today because I don't get a P day tomorrow. . . I am flying to San Francisco!!!! Yeah that is right, I am going to be flying there to pick up my visa! About half of my district is going that day and half of them went to day. Oh, and while we are on the topic of that I got made district leader! It has been awesome so far and I have really liked that. My district is a lot of fun and I really like my companion a lot.
Okay so an update for the few days that I have been in here. . . Keep the letters coming! I can read them at night, I just won't be able to write back until Tuesday. The packages have been awesome so thank you for sending those. Our district wasn't able to get the mail the first few days because we didn't have a district leader yet, but once I was appointed I went straight there :) I will give you a little run down of what we do in the MTC everyday, we wake up at six fifteen (you have to get up a little earlier or you will not be able to get a shower for a little bit), then you go to the classroom and study, then you go to breakfast, then back to the classroom to study, lunch, study, dinner, study, plan, sleep a little bit and then start the same thing all over again the next day. Quite the life huh?! Sometimes it can get really long, but so far it has not been unbearable.

The first week in the MTC they speak in almost entirely french. It is so overwhelming it is not even right. Not to mention, on the third day you teach your first investigator. . . in french! Yeah it did not go so great for me haha, I wrote all of it down on a paper and read it off. The second day of teaching our investigator went about the same as the first, not good either. It has been really hard because you can't convey your message across. With that being said, today was so much better. One of my friends told me to try and go in without a paper and the spirit will help you to remember a lot more of what you have studied, so I tried that and I was able to teach a lot of the lesson. It was really basic french and some of it probably did not make sense, but it was a lot better than the days before! Haha.
I just want you to know that I am doing good and please keep the letters coming and whatever you want to send in the packages! I love all of it.
I love all of you very much and wish me good luck in San Francisco tomorrow!
Love,
Elder Beyer

PS, I did get the pictures, it is difficult to send them because only a few computers can send them, but I will send my card home soon. Also, my roommates are from Spain, Argentina, and Idaho! I like all of them a lot and we get along really good!
